Hulk Movies

After “The Incredible Hulk” television series was canceled in 1982, six years later three television movies, with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferringo reprising their original roles as Dr. David Banner and the Hulk respectively, were produced airing on NBC.
The first movie “The Incredible Hulk Returns” was presented in 1988. This movie was the first time that Marvel Universe characters appeared, as Kenneth Johnson, the writer, producer and director of the television show left out any references to the Marvel Universe during the show’s run from 1977 to 1982. In this movie, Banner meets with a former student that has obtained the hammer of Thor, a Viking warrior who has been prevented from entering into Valhalla, a place where soldiers slain in combat enter. The movie helped to set up a back-door pilot for a Thor-centric live-action series for television.
In 1989, “The Trial of the Incredible Hulk” was produced for television. In this film, again mixing in Marvel Universe characters, David Banner meets Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who is also the masked Daredevil. Together, Daredevil and Hulk fight the Kingpin of Crime, referred to by his name, Wilson Fisk. Like the first film, this was set up as a back-door pilot for a Daredevil-centric live-action series for television.
The last movie was filmed in 1990 and was titled “The Death of the Incredible Hulk.” In this film, David Banner becomes infatuated with an Eastern European spy and goes on to save kidnapped scientists. At the end of the film, Hulk fatally falls from an airplane, switching back to his human form before dying.
Home Movies

History
Home movie (with professional narration) of Bonnie and Clyde death scene (1934).
The development of home movie-making has depended critically on availability of equipment and media formats (film, videotape, etc.) at prices affordable to consumers.
Development of film formats suitable for amateur hobbyists began early in the history of cinematography. For example, the 17.5 mm “Birtac” format was patented by Birt Acres in 1898. This format split the standard 35 mm film into two strips half as wide and was able to be loaded into the camera in daylight. Since the frames were also half the height of 35 mm frames, the Birtac format used only 25% of the amount of film stock used by 35 mm. Since the camera doubled as a printer and projector, equipment costs were also reduced.
Safety film and the 16 mm film format
Another breakthrough in making film practical for home users was the introduction of safety film in the 1920s. Earlier “nitrate film” required special handling and storage, even after it was exposed and developed, since it is extremely flammable and has even been known to spontaneously catch fire as it gets older.
Many competing film formats were introduced in the early decades until 16 mm safety film was introduced by Eastman Kodak in 1923 and became a standard in the non-professional market. Although 16 mm had the advantage of users not being tied to one equipment manufacturer and there were obvious cost advantages compared to standard 35 mm, it was never able to eliminate smaller formats and it eventually was relegated to professional users, particularly in the education market.
Horror Movies

Horror movies are unsettling films, designed to frighten and panic, because dread and alarm, and to invoke our hidden worst fears, often in a terrifying, shocking finale, while captivating and entertaining us at the same time in a cathartic experience. They deal with our most primal nature and its fears: our nightmares, our vulnerability, our alienation, our revulsion, our terror of the unknown, our fear of death and dismemberment or loss of identity. These movies effectively center on the dark side of life, the forbidden, and strange and alarming events.
Horror movies go back as far as the onset of films themselves, over 100 years ago. Often in our thoughts, we use vivid imaginations to see ghosts in scary shapes, to be emotionally connected to the unknown and to fear things that are improbable. Watching a horror movie gives an opening into that scary world, into an outlet of the essence of fear itself, without actually being in danger.
Weird as it sounds, there’s a very real thrill in being scared or watching disturbing, horrific images.
These genres of movies are often combined with science fiction when the menace or monster is related to a corruption of technology, or when earth is threatened by aliens. Also known as chillers, scary movies, spook-fests, and the macabre, these movies are usually liked by every generation.
The best horror films only imply or suggest the horror in subtle ways, rather than blatantly displaying the disruptive figures and faces. When done well and with less reliance on horrifying special effects, it can be extremely potent film forms, tapping into our dream states and the horror of the irrational and unknown, and the horror within man himself.
